Originaire de l’Estrie, Mariclair Plante est une artiste peintre canadienne spécialisée en art abstrait contemporain. Autodidacte, elle développe depuis 2013 une signature forte et reconnaissable, portée par un geste énergique, une matière riche et une grande intensité émotionnelle.
Ses œuvres explorent l’équilibre entre spontanéité et maîtrise, chaos et silence, donnant naissance à des compositions puissantes, instinctives et profondément humaines. Habituée à travailler dans l’urgence créative, elle excelle autant en création libre qu’en commandes sur mesure, tout en préservant l’authenticité de sa démarche.
Son parcours international s’est notamment illustré lors d’une invitation officielle du ministère de la Culture de la Tunisie, où elle a réalisé plusieurs performances de peinture en direct en collaboration avec des musiciens. Récompensée par de nombreux prix au Canada et à l’international, ses œuvres font aujourd’hui partie de collections privées et institutionnelles dans plus d’une quinzaine de pays.

Originally from the Eastern Townships, Mariclair Plante is a Canadian artist specializing in contemporary abstract art. A self-taught artist, she has developed a strong and recognizable signature since 2013, driven by energetic brushstrokes, rich textures, and intense emotional depth.
Her works explore the balance between spontaneity and control, chaos and silence, giving birth to powerful, instinctive, and deeply human compositions. Accustomed to working in creative urgency, she excels both in free expression and custom commissions, all while maintaining the authenticity of her approach.
Her international career notably includes an official invitation du Ministère des affaires culturelles of Tunisia, where she performed several live painting performances in collaboration with musicians. Awarded numerous prizes in Canada and abroad, her works are now part of private and institutional collections in over fifteen countries.
