Mireille Molleur est une artiste peintre née à Pike River, près de la Baie Missisquoi. Durant son enfance, sa grand-mère paternelle l’initie aux arts en lui fournissant des livres, des pastels secs et des crayons, éveillant ainsi sa passion pour la création artistique.
Après avoir obtenu un baccalauréat ès arts, elle poursuit sa formation artistique auprès de divers mentors et institutions. Elle suit des cours de dessin avec Seymour Segal à l’Université Bishop’s en 2004.
Son travail artistique est profondément influencé par les paysages ruraux, le territoire et les cours d’eau du comté de Missisquoi, qu’elle parcoure lors de sa carrière au ministère de l’Agriculture du Québec. Ces éléments naturels inspirent et influencent son œuvre. Elle s’exprime à travers des techniques mixtes, notamment l’acrylique sur la toile comme support.
Son approche artistique se caractérise par l’utilisation de couleurs riches et de formes semi-figuratives, invitant le spectateur à un voyage à travers la nature et le territoire. Elle considère le doute comme un moteur de création, l’encourageant à repousser continuellement les limites de son art.
Mireille Molleur is a painter born in Pike River, near Missisquoi Bay. During her childhood, her paternal grandmother introduced her to the arts by providing books, dry pastels, and pencils, thus awakening her passion for artistic creation.
After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, Mireille continued her artistic training under various mentors and institutions. In 2004, she took drawing courses with Seymour Segal at Bishop's University.
Her artistic work is deeply influenced by the rural landscapes, the land, and the waterways of Missisquoi County, which she explored during her career at the Ministère de l’agriculture du Québec. These natural elements inspire and influence her artwork. She expresses herself through mixed media, particularly acrylics on canvas as a support.
Her artistic approach is characterized by the use of rich colors and semi-figurative shapes, inviting the viewer on a journey through nature and the land. She considers doubt as a driving force for creation, encouraging her to continually push the boundaries of her art.
